Review of the thermoluminescent dosimetry method for the environmental dose monitoring

Passive solid state dosimeters, such as thermoluminescence provide integrated measurement of the total dose and are widely used in environmental monitoring programs. The objective this paper is to a comprehensive review on use thermoluminescent dosimetry methods for radiation environment. article presents part research results project PREPAREDNESS (EMPIR 2016 call Metrology Environment joint project) with particular harmonize procedures by services, relevant authorities Institutes across Europe. To achieve this, different routines that based passive environ mental investigated. Differences performing specific steps preheating, reading, annealing, minimizing fading, others, analyzed. investigation was performed means qualitative literature showed lack information about steps. conclusion work system has be type-tested even though testing procedure complicated. In addition control dosimeters should introduced, International Organization Standardization protocols followed during calibration, finally, parameters influencing uncertainty have identified well understood order pro duce ac cu rate results.
